On-Line Uranium Radiation Safety Toolkit v2.0

Links

Located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, we provide operational radiation safety support to the uranium industry. We manufacture and distribute the VS472 and DA472 Radon Sniffers and the TM372 and TM372++ Portable Sample Counters and maintain Webrad, an online radiation data management system.

The VS472 and DA472 Radon Sniffers are portable radon gas detectors that can indicate the presence of a radon source in 15 seconds and can quantify the radon concentration in 5 minutes. Some of our competitors need 3 hours between the time a sample is taken and the time it is evaluated.

The TM372 was designed for field measurements of radon progeny. It counts the sample while being carried by a technician, who can take and evaluate a radon progeny sample every 6 minutes. By comparison, some automated samplers take about 20 minutes per sample.

The TM372++ is a newer version of the TM372 that includes a Geiger counter for detecting gamma radiation and an internal pump for collecting samples. It also features a new membrane keypad for an improved user interface and additional functionality, such as an automated sampling sequence.

Webrad is an interface for uranium mining companies to keep track of all their radiation and contaminant data. It can be used for storing contaminant readings and for calculating and reporting worker exposures based on these readings.

We are also proud to offer our free On-Line Uranium Radiation Toolkit as a public service.

If you are involved in uranium mining or exploration, we can help you. Please contact us at admin@eic.nu or call: (406) 686-0081.
